I’ve been meaning to post photos of our apartment and our trip but I haven’t yet found the time to look at the pictures we took…so many empty promises, I know. >_<
Plus I’m trying to figure out how to post more pictures before exceeding my WordPress bandwidth. Does anyone have any experience with WP and photobucket/Flickr? Which is better? Help!
On another note, I’m super stoked for my buddy Grace and her business partners Stacey and Susan- they’ve launched their own cutting-edge physiotherapy clinic, go!physiotherapy, in Vancouver. I’m confident it’ll be an amazing success. Check out the beta website I designed for them here, and while you’re there, book an appointment even if it’s just to check out their ultra-modern space!

These lovelies came in the mail today…so excited to add them to my collection!
You can find SpinSpin Handmade on Etsy, and don’t forget to check out the Mr. PS shop while you’re there!

Kitchen: Before
Here’s what our kitchen looked like at our walkthrough - before we got possession of the place and took a sledgehammer to it…

Kitchen: Before
The previous owners left the place in great shape – good bones and everything – but we had a different vision for our home…inspired by the concept of Ein Gedi that Mark Driscoll from Mars Hill Church in Seattle talked about in his Peasant Princess series.
More before-and-afters to come this week, promise.
P.S. I highly recommend the Peasant Princess it to any married or soon-to-be-married couple – I’m sure that it will revolutionize your relationship as it did ours!

I just wanted to say that received my gorgeous tea towel from The Near Future today and it is lovelier than I imagined. And they came so quickly too, from the land Down Under. Thanks, Nicole & Julia!
P.S. I also love the concept of afternoon tea. There’s a quaint little shop in Fort Langley that does the most delicious scones with devonshire cream – to die for. Go now, and try their herb and cheese scones as well – they simply melt in your mouth. Super yum.

My family and I are going on a little road trip for the first time ever! 9 of us (including my adorable nieces) will be spending the weekend in Victoria and Tofino. My mom is super excited to see Butchart Gardens…then we’ll drive to a little resort waiting for us in Tofino at Fourteen Thirty One Cox Bay. It’ll be a blast! Photos to come when we return.

Cox Bay in Tofino
And hopefully by that time, our shower will have been tiled and we can finally move in to our master bedroom. It would definitely be a pleasant surprise if God orchestrates it that way :)

Kitchen Counter...finally!
Yay! The countertop and kitchen sink have *just* been installed! Here’s a photo that Izz sent me just five minutes ago…now we finally have a kitchen! We’re quite sick of eating out and I can’t wait to whip up something fresh and healthy again.
Now to install our open shelving :)

We’re moving today and I’ve been making, filling and sealing cardboard boxes since 7:30 in the morning. Cardboard cuts are so much worse than paper cuts. I wonder if a person can die of millions and millions of paper cuts? A question once pondered by my friend Denise and I back in high school – good times, good times.
Izz and I can’t wait to actually live in our apartment even though we’ll have to survive without a kitchen countertop, sink, stove, dishwasher, ensuite shower and master bedroom…haha
All things in good time, I suppose. I’ll try to take some pictures of the place tonight, but in the meantime check out these goodies from Cardboard Safari. We got Buck Jr. and the Leaf Wreath for our new place. That kind of cardboard I don’t mind handling.

Quite enamoured with these gorgeous cards from etsy shop Paperfingers. I wish I had a kid so I’d have a reason to hang these on the wall. My favorites below:
At $20 a pop, a full alphabet range is a bit of a splurge ($520?!) but a framed print of a single letter with sentimental value would definitely be a conversation starter.

It’s about that time of year for shorts…and these are mind-blowingly superb.
I don’t know what I would do with an open brief, but these artists sure do. Check out their stunning works of art here. My favorite is the marvelously seamless The Seed by Johnny Kelly.
The Long Haul, is an animated short film by Dumais Studio and Full Serve which has a wonderful message - a lovely counterpoint to our culture of disposable relationships these days.
Wow. Third post in day! This is getting a little easier : )
